As part of the Three Rivers Throwdown Weekend, ATA McMurray is bringing something completely different to Sunday - The Forge Board Breaking Tournament!

This isn't just about whether you can break a board. You create the performance. Choose your own hand and foot techniques, build combinations, add transitions or acrobatics, stack boards for power, and put it all together into a performance that showcases your skill, power, creativity, and personality.

Competitors will break real wooden boards and be judged on their complete performance, giving everyone from a first-time ATA Tiger to an experienced Black Belt the opportunity to step into the ring, challenge themselves, and do something memorable.

• ATA Tigers - $35 | Includes 2 real 3/8" wooden boards
• Martial Arts Kids - $40 | Includes 3 real 1/2" wooden boards
• Teens & Adults - $45 | Includes 4 real 1" wooden boards

All competition boards are included with registration. Board holders will be provided for competitors.

Compete in 4 or more individual events during Saturday's Three Rivers Throwdown Tournament and receive FREE entry into Sunday's Board Breaking Tournament!

The Forge Four FREE entry is available through preregistration only.

• Choose your own breaking techniques and create your own performance.
• Break boards individually, in combinations, or stack them for power breaks.
• Competitors receive up to 3 attempts per board break.
• Judges use the ATA's familiar 1–9 scoring system.
• Performances are evaluated on technique, breaking execution, difficulty, creativity, and overall presentation.
• Final divisions will be determined based on participation, age, and rank.
• Music will not be used for performances.
• Protective hand or foot gear may be worn if desired.

There is no required routine and no single "right" way to compete. Make it powerful. Make it creative. Make it yours. Note - The Forge Board Breaking Tournament is a special non-sanctioned tournament and does not award ATA tournament points.
